Ranch Love

We finished up the week at the Sproul reunion at the Ranch. As usual, it was good times.

This is My Uncle Clark (age 92) and his son, His new wife and daughter in law going out for a ride.

We went for a little ride/hike to check out some pictographs.

Marin was nice enough to take MJ back on the four wheeler.
I didn't get any pictures of the shooting extravaganza. Maybe I can make a deal with someone.

Grandma, lets play dog and cat

On the way to the Farm MJ says to Grandma, "Grandma want to play cat and dog?" and Grandma being the good sport she is said ok. So they sit there for a min and then all of the sudden and out of no where, at the top of her voice MJ barks at Grandma scaring the something outta her AND the rest of us. I am still laughing just thinking about it.

Here is the back story. This is a cute little kitten in the picture that was hanging around Grandma and Grandpa's house-- That is until Max the dog noticed it, and went crazy barking at it. Needless to say it didn't come back.

oooo- Pretty

look what Jens found while Grandma was out. Yep, that would be lipstick.

Good times in Roosevelt

Canoe

We took the canoe out to Sand Wash one day. This is the 5 min canoe ride. I guess the girls didn't think it was as cool as I thought they would.

Uncle Dave was so nice to go swimming in the cold water with MJ. She had such a great time.
Jens didn't think it was that great. I think she cried, screamed, or whined the entire time.
Sam was a good sport though. He and Max :)

Utarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Grandma took us to some friends house/farm to see their great animals! It was very entertaining :)
Look- It is donkey from Shrek!
Feeding the goats

This was the highlight for me. Meet Ranger the llama. And he likes to give kisses. Too freakn funny.

Jens wanted to take this pony home. She sat on him for ever and was pretty upset when we had to move on.
This was the pony's baby. It was so cute, and the size of a large dog.

We also saw birds, bunnies, baby bunnies, horses, more goats, guinea pigs, chickens, roosters, and a colt. But if you ask MJ (and all she would talk about) the only thing that she thought was great was three little puppies.

Trip to Grandma and Grandpa's

We escaped the heat and went to Utah to visit the Grandparents. Mark had to stay and work, so the best brother you can imagine (Sammy my Manny) went with me (I think it really was in the best interest of the kids lives).

The girls had so much fun! They painted

Picked rasberries

Ok, Jens just ate them

Made hollyhock dolls
And that was just the first day!

Cookies?

If you didnt know, Mark is very particular in his cooking. That is probably why everything he cooks is pretty much the best thing you will ever eat. BUT, love him to pieces, he is hard to cook with. Which is why this is such an accomplishment for all involved. Mark and the girls made cookies!!
ok, well MJ helped make them, Jens just watched and then just ate them.
PS-MJ was severly irritaed there were chocolate chips in the cookies.

Mark and Nick's big adventure

Mark and Nick didn't have enough fun on the 4th, so they set out for their own adventure the next day. They headed up to Zion and did the narrows:You should have seen the mark this stick left!

The narrows wasnt enough, so they set out up the Mountain (or up the cliff)

After it was dark, and they had hiked about 15 miles they set up camp. And then a few hours later the sun came up
What goes up, must come down, so they headed back down the mountain.
Not too bad for a banker huh? I was so happy to have him back home, even if he couldn't move so well, and had lots of band aids for blisters. I am also super happy that Nick went with him :)

4th of JULY

Our 4th of July was super fun- not because of us, but because of Nick and Heather who came from Florida to kick it!! As always, the wiggle cars were a hit:

Mark had a great time lighting the fireworks and Chrystal helped too. But we are super lucky to have neighbors who go all out with fireworks. They put on a great show!
Jens thought the fireworks were pretty cool, but a little noisy Wait, where is MJ? The kid that would not stop talking about fireworks, or fireworks stands. The kid that picked out all the fire works? Oh yeah, she is hiding in the house or behind the car-- almost the entire time.
