Carsons!!!

We met up with the Carson's and Kristi and her cute kids.  It was a lot of fun, and it was great to see them.

It F I N A L L Y happened!!!

After 15 years (ok, not really, 4 I think) Sam and Dia got married.  It was a great party and I am pretty sure everyone had a great time.

 Jens would not leave Dia alone.  Until she found the food.

 Mac and Evan had matching suits.

 Surprise!! The Carsons (long time family friends) came.

 And of course Chrystal came. She helped Jens get more food :)

 Grandpa Lemon was great to hold the crying tired baby until he finally fell asleep.

We are so happy to have Dia in our family (offically).  She is such a wonderful person, and sure helps raise our status :)

Side story- We had been talking about the wedding a lot.  The girls kept calling the event "Dia's wedding"  Right before the wedding I said to the girls, "you know Sam is getting married too"  They were slightly confused and asked "to who?" and I said "to Dia.  It is Dia AND Sam's wedding."

Side story #2- After the wedding we were in the car and Maissie randomly says "I am so glad Dia had cheesecake at her wedding because I love cheese."

The kids had a good time with Evan and the cha-weinies before the wedding extraveganda.  Jens kept saying, "Evan really likes me."

What the hell, we live in Utah!

Grandma Lemon was nice enough to come visit.  But someone broke into her can and stole her computer :(. NOT COOL.  And here we thought we were in no mans land on the tip top of the mountain.  Damnit.  Oh, and it was her birthday the next day.

Date night

Maissie and I had a date night to go up to Ogden to see our cousin Jayna in a play.  I loved it.  Maissie was so good the entire time (and it was long for her).  It was really late when it was over, but Maissie could not stop talking about how in the play they kissed at the end and "they were not even married!"  She could not believe it.
A Big thanks to Grandma Lemon who came to watch the other two kiddos.

Quick trip to Vegas

We took a quick trip to Vegas to see Dia go through the temple.  It was great.  Warm and Sunny.  Mac loved nap time with Mark.  Maissie loved the spa.  The girls ran around in their swim suits, even though the pool was not quite warm enough to swim.

Poor Mac-ers.  He had a rough couple of weeks.  He got RSV, and ear infection, and cold sores on his face.  We now know our new Dr. pretty well (and like him).  Mac did not seem to mind the Dr.  because the Dr gave him suckers.  Yep, the kid's first sucker was from his Dr.

Mark gets stuck

Mark could not quite make it up the driveway.  He had to get out of his car (in his work shoes), go change and bundle up, get out the snow blower, and clear the drive way so he could get in.  

The boys are back in town

 Joel and Nick came . . .withOUT their wifeys :( . . . to ski.  I think they had a great time, but realized they are not college age any more- hahahaha.  I think the last day of skiing turned into a movie instead.

They are awesome guys and we were so glad they would make the treck.  But next time it would be even better if the ladies, and the kiddos could come.

Funny story- they were going to drive the car through the car wash, and while they were waiting Mark had to get his wallet out of the trunk.  All of the sudden the car in front of them began to back up.  Nick leaned over and started to honk the horn (because Mark was at the trunk) but BOOM! They were hit.  Lucky for Mark it only bumped his knees and all were ok.

One of the best things about being in Utah . . .

Getting ready to play in the snow takes more time than you actually spend outside. Jensyn is still clearly confused about the weather here (Trying to make the tank top work in the snow?)

One of my favorite parts of being in Utah is being close to our friends the Malmgrens. They came and helped us unpack, and brought dinner too not once, but twice!!

We are glad the made it up the hill, and also back down safely.

Karen's Wedding!

 

My cousin Karen got married!!! It was a sweet deal for me beacuse I got to pick up my uncles (Lowell, and Andy) and my Dad from the airport and take them to the wedding.  It was really fun.  The highlight was seeing Great Grandpa Hersch.  My kids adore him.  The were so happy to be with Grandpa Hafen too.
