The end of May and we still had a snowman in the back yard.

Mac looked out the window . . .
Mac is just the right size to look out the front window. So he does, a lot. The snow melted so Mark could mow the lawn. This was so cute, Mac would wave at Mark when Mark was facing him. The dogs like to look out the window too.

It was FREEZING but it opened
Where we are living there is a really nice neighborhood pool. I guess it has been sitting for 3 years full of water, but no one was able to use it because the developer went under, and couldn't properly finish it. But this year (lucky for us) the pool opened on Memorial weekend. The girls were really excited! But it was maybe 55 degrees outside. They were crazy, but they wanted to swim. It snowed the next day.
warm happy days
I never thought I would be so happy to see the sun and go outside. It FINALLY got warm enough to play out side and go to the park.

Nap Time?
I can not get Jens to take a nap. I have decided it is not worth the fight. So when she is tired, she falls asleep. Sometimes in really funny places. Sometimes I can't find her. And usually it looks like she drops alseep where ever, when ever.
This is an outfit she layed out for the next day. Glad she has most of her bases covered :)

Maissie's talent show
Maissie's kindergarten class had a talent show. When I asked Maissie what she was good at/what she likes to do she said draw. So we gathered some of her pictures and put them together to show her class. Her sweet teacher, Mrs. McArtney helped her show her artwork.
I was really proud of how confident Maissie was. She got up there and introduced herself and told about all her pitcures. She was great!
Mac liked it
After Maissie wanted to show us the butterflies they had growing in their classroom.

Hiking!
There is this great place to hike really close to our house. We tried it out, and it was a great success! The kids really liked it and we all had a good time. Unfortunatly, I did not get many picures. But this one was cute. MJ and Jens kept trying to find rolly polly bugs (that is what is in MJ's hand)
Mac attack walks!!
At 15+ months Mac decided it was time to walk! And he sure took off. With in a couple of days it seemed like he had been walking for months. It was great to see the smile on his face. He as sure proud of himself, and we were proud (adn relieved) too.

The bus stop
Maissie's bus stop is about a 1/2 a mile down the road (and her school is probably another 4 or 5 miles away). So everyday we take Maissie and pick her up. Most days I actually really enjoyed this time with her. She was usually really excited to go, and we would talk about her day on the way home.
This is Maissie waving at us and blowing us kisses from the bus
And this is Jens waving and blowing kisses back from out the sunroof

Happy Mother's Day
We went to the big town of Roosevelt for Mother's Day. We re-organized Grandma Lemon's kitchen. I think she was happy with the outcome, although she did say she had a hard time finding some things.
I am not sure who wore who out :)

Kindy 500
Maissie had a Kindy 500 at school They started off with some songs (can you see how much taller she is than the other kids?) and then did a parade around the school. Her car was great. Mark and she worked on it together to get it pink with purple flames. Maissie made the tires and the steering wheel all by herself.
Jens and Mac came along to see too.
