Valentines Day 2014

We started out Valentines Day with hearts hair (only Jens only lasted 30 seconds.  Apparently I did it wrong)

 Mac and I went to Maissie's class and did her party. Mac thought it was pretty good because he got all the same treats Maissie did.

Every Year we use conversation hearts to write someone else a Valentines note.  This is what we came up with this year.  The person who uses the most hearts is winner!

Mac turns 4!

Our Mac attack turned 4! We can not get enough of him. He is so incredibly sweet and kind and silly.  He was pretty excited about his birthday.  He had all his presents opened by about 8am.  And each one he was completely thrilled.  He was very specific in what he wanted: A Spider-man doughnut cake, a trip to the surprise store, a trip to 7-11, and waffles for dinner.

Some things that we love about Mac are when he says yes, he moves his eyebrows up and down when he nods.  He has quite the imagination and often says "wouldn't it be awesome if . . . " He loves to play in the rain, and splash in rain puddles. He is really into super heroes, and loves to watch TV.  He is also great at giving big hug squeezes.

We took advantage of our last day in NV sunshine by feeding the ducks.  

Bye Sam and Dia

Sam and Dia have the amazing opportunity to go serve in the Peace Corps for a couple of years.  We are so thrilled for them, even though we are going to miss them like crazy.  It was hard to say goodbye.

this is our first facetime with them.  It was so great to see them.

Happy New Year

For New Years we had an impromptu party at AK and Carolyn's house.  There were 3 adults (Carolyn was at work) and 12 kids (Mcartney, Cortlin, Trayle, Haley, Ry, Maissie, Jen, Mac, Logan, Brinley, and the twins).  It may have been a little crazy.  But it was fun.  We had pizza and played games, watched a movie, and ran around.

For Christmas the girls got a certificate to get their ears pierced.  Jensyn was all for it.  She was so brave and did not even cry.  I think she as pretty proud of herself.

Maissie was not quite ready to do it.
