Cookies?

If you didnt know, Mark is very particular in his cooking. That is probably why everything he cooks is pretty much the best thing you will ever eat. BUT, love him to pieces, he is hard to cook with. Which is why this is such an accomplishment for all involved. Mark and the girls made cookies!!
ok, well MJ helped make them, Jens just watched and then just ate them.
PS-MJ was severly irritaed there were chocolate chips in the cookies.

Mark and Nick's big adventure

Mark and Nick didn't have enough fun on the 4th, so they set out for their own adventure the next day. They headed up to Zion and did the narrows:You should have seen the mark this stick left!

The narrows wasnt enough, so they set out up the Mountain (or up the cliff)

After it was dark, and they had hiked about 15 miles they set up camp. And then a few hours later the sun came up
What goes up, must come down, so they headed back down the mountain.
Not too bad for a banker huh? I was so happy to have him back home, even if he couldn't move so well, and had lots of band aids for blisters. I am also super happy that Nick went with him :)

4th of JULY

Our 4th of July was super fun- not because of us, but because of Nick and Heather who came from Florida to kick it!! As always, the wiggle cars were a hit:

Mark had a great time lighting the fireworks and Chrystal helped too. But we are super lucky to have neighbors who go all out with fireworks. They put on a great show!
Jens thought the fireworks were pretty cool, but a little noisy Wait, where is MJ? The kid that would not stop talking about fireworks, or fireworks stands. The kid that picked out all the fire works? Oh yeah, she is hiding in the house or behind the car-- almost the entire time.

Evan Miles Update

We spent last week in Reno visiting Evan Miles. He is such a trooper. He likes to kick, and we heard him cry. He is the sweetest little guy. I got to see Arthur change his diaper for the first time, but of course I didn't have the camera. But, my Mom did have the camera when he held him the first time.

This is Michelle holding Evan. You can see how tiny he is- his hand is the size of her necklace charm.

Arthur accidentally put a new born diaper on Evan- it is a little big.

Maissie and Jensyn were not allowed in the NICU (do you blame them??) but the nurse was nice enough on the last day to let MJ in the nurses lounge so she could see through the window.
It is so amazing to see this tiny little guy and strong he is.

pretty much the best weekend ever!

Tina and I went to surprise Terra for her birthday. Thanks to her awesome husband who arranged everything, we had a great time.

This is in the car before we got to the house.
Terra had no idea. It was perfect.
The first night we went to see Wicked in downtown Indy
The next day we drove to Chicago- one of the coolest cities. This is the view from our hotel.
This is awesome stain glass at the culture center. We saw Mary Poppins- which was great.

Some other highlights? The drunk guy on the elevator asking to go on a boat ride with him. An old Bertha waitress who ask aggressively- "you ready to order yet" after we had been there 30 seconds. Eating liquid nitrogen ice cream. It was pretty much the best weekend ever!

Da Ranch

It is always a good time when we go to the ranch!!
We fed the horses apples-

Dia put make-up on the girls-
We found a toad (at night in PJs)-

And of course we went on an adventure on the four wheelers!
Arthur and McArtney, and Mark
The girls ventured the in the back until it started to rain.
Jens loved it, but got tired at the end.We also did cleaning projects, but I forgot to take before and after pictures.

Jensy poo

Jens is usually quite fun (minus the high pitched screams that make the dogs leave the room).
This is her trying a lemon:
This is Jens trying a marker:

This is Jens crying through the doggie door because I am in the garage:

AND, this is Jens trying all the shoes she can:
