it talks

I have been joking about Jens not talking, and really not really wanting to talk. That seemed to change this week. She has been trying to say almost everything we say (I know, that could get us in trouble again). But she loves to say (or attempt to) people's names. Check it out.

Jensy turns 2!

Happy Birthday to Jensyn!! She started off her day with Grandma and Grandpa Lemon, and presents. MJ had a hard time understanding the presents were not for her, but Jens was a good sharer. For dinner Jens had some of her favorites- hotdogs, fruit, veggies and lots of ranch dressing. She finished it off with ice cream- which she can not get enough of.

I like to Party Party

We had such a great time at Jens, Logan, and Kimball's Bday party at the pool. During the day it was cloudy, windy and rainy. BUT, when it was time to party it cleared up and was super!!


I was worried for a min that Jens wouldn't get in the water because she was so into the cake!

Maissie and cousin Ben had a good time all the way through to the end.

After the first time down the slide Jens couldn't get enough. She would hop out and say "more, come on" and then pull you back to the stairs to go back up the slide.

This picture cracks me up so much. Logan, Kimball and Jens. Next year we will take the picture at the beginning of the party instead of the end.

Oh the Ranch

We went out to the ranch for the weekend. Me in my awesomeness didn't bother to get out the camera until the way home when we had a blow out. But, Mark was super fast and no real bad words were said (you know, like in the Christmas Story). The girls didn't even know it happened. They were too involved in Cinderella.

MJ summer camp

The Rec Center has a summer camp for 4/5 year olds. They do some really cute things. Like a play:
(Crappy picture, I know) I was very glad we made it on time because it was only about 15 min in total. AND, I am still not sure what the play was about. MJ tells me she was a princess.

They did cowgirl/boy week. The kids rode a pony and got to dress up like a cowgirl. MJ couldn't find her hat (the first time in the six months it has been gone that she has noticed). She settled for a bandanna. Only she insisted on wearing it on her head instead of her neck.

Yep, from her nose

We took MJ to summer camp today, and I was so proud of myself because I even got Jens hair done. But of course, by the time we got to the rec center she had taken the rubber band out. I didn't really think anything of it. But she kept rubbing her nose. So I asked her (as if she could talk- duh) "Did you stick that rubber band up your nose?" She told me yes (in her I can't really talk words) but I thought no way, she wouldn't. A couple hours later she was still rubbing her nose, so I thought I better check. Sure enough, way up there was a bright green rubber band. I got out the tweezers, put her under a light, and went to work. On the fith try I got it.

Soul Rebel Alliance

My Mom and I did a marathon trip to Cali last weekend. We left on Sat. night after my cousin Jordan's wedding and came back after Arthur's show on Sunday evening. But, it was totally worth it. Arthur was awesome!! you should really check em out:

We met up with Sam and Dia who were already in Cali on a little vacay.

This is the first set they played. The set was mostly Frame of Mind stuff. We met some of Arthur's groupies. It was great. The music was awesome!! Then the boys from Off White joined in for a song. (recognize the curly hair dude? he was on American Idol)

Jensy's new trick

Last night at about 10:30 I hear Jens screams at the top of her voice "Daddy! Daddy!" Mark goes in there, and then I hear "Jess, come quick." I run in there and I see Jens butt naked neatly handing her wet diaper to Mark. No interest in the potty, so maybe she wants to just change her own diaper for the rest of her life?

Ranch Love

We finished up the week at the Sproul reunion at the Ranch. As usual, it was good times.

We went for a little ride/hike to check out some pictographs.



Marin was nice enough to take MJ back on the four wheeler.
I didn't get any pictures of the shooting extravaganza. Maybe I can make a deal with someone.
