Three Turkey Triathlon

We (Me, Mark, Sam) did the St. George Turkey Triathlon yesterday. AND we all finished successfully. This is us before. Notice how we are wearing long sleeves? It was c o l d.

This is Sam intimidating the others.

Mark and I passed each other- I was trying to give my camera to my Mom and Grandma (in the background) but couldn't get over to them, but Mark came though at that exact time.
This is our fan club
This is me after finishing. I chose not to run because baby boy put too much pressure on my gutz. My goal was to finish in an hour, not have EMT come get me, and to not let Mark or Sam finish before me (they did 2x what I did). I finished in just over an hour (official results are not yet in) but I met the other 2 goals.
Mark finishes
The girls were excited to see him.
Sam finishes

Look- we are all standing and smiling in the end :). But I think if we do it again we would make a great team division.

I L O V E Halloween!!

Halloween is the best holiday EVER!! Here are some of our festiveness:

We colored some Halloween decorations

We liked to try the dog costumes on the dogs. Angus didn't like it so much
Phishy was a good sport and kept his on for a long time
We love the MR. potato head pumpkin decorations

MJ chose the princess one this year
We went to a harvest festival. I forgot the camera, so we took pictures after we got home. MJ told me she wouldn't get dirty so she wouldn't have to take a bath and wash off her unicorn.
Jens was just happy to have candy
We carved pumpkins too.

I didn't get a picture of the front of it, and now it has shriveled. BUT, it was a cute pumpkin

MJ was Ariel for Halloween. I felt bad, MJ was sick all week, so she missed her party at school, and a party with some friends. She was a really good sport about it. Don't worry, she made up for it on Halloween.
Jens was a Giraffe. It was so cute- had extra padding on the sides and butt. She was even cuter with the head piece on, but of course wouldn't wear it.
This is the kiddies checking out their loot at the end of the night. They did very well.

Pumpkin Patch #2

We went to a parking lot pumpkin patch. Check it out:

Posing for a picture before the real fun begins

Fun, like dumping hay on your head
This is the first ride- MJ wouldn't even get on the thing. Logan and Jens got on, but got off before the ride even started.
But, the girls did make it on the second ride and loved it!
The bouncy slide was the hit for MJ
Kimball and MJ liked the swings, Jens liked it for 2 seconds, and then cried the rest of the time.
Jens went back for seconds on the twirly round about thing. MJ was on the train ride around the park, so I offered to go with Jens. BIG mistake-- made me sick.

MJ thinks we should name the baby . . . .

We have no idea what to name the baby- so we ask MJ. In the beginning she insisted it was a girl and would NOT accept anything else. She thought Sally Lollipops was perfect.
She finally decided a boy would be ok, and has suggested Bob the Builder, Prince Eric, and Prince Philip and this morning she said Jacky.

Heart Walk

We did the Las Vegas Heart walk. (US Bank was one of the sponsors) It was three miles around a neighborhood. Jens loved it. She walked 3/4 of the walk. We couldn't believe it. MJ on the other hand was not interested in walking, and rode most of the way in the stroller.
But when the walk was over, MJ had a blast on the bouncers and making a food bracelet.

This series is us waiting for the walk to start. Needless to say 1- the girls dont ride to well together 2- MJ was not happy with the outcome, but Jens was just fine.

Pumpkin Patch

We headed out to the Gilcrease Orchard and picked up some pumpkins, okra, eggplant and apple cider. We learned last year to go early in the morning (for us that meant 9am). It was so nice to have to pack jackets!

Jensy's hair

I thought MJ was lacking in the hair department when she was a toddler-- but now I realize that even though Jens had more hair when she was born, she does not have as much hair as MJ did at the same age.

This is MJ at 2

This is Jens at 2Today for the first time I got her hair in pig tails (for a couple of hours at least).
