Christmas round one

For Christmas we decided to spend the night at Amooh and Grandpa's house so we could all (us, them, Clark and Sam) wake up together on Christmas morning. The girls were ThRiLlEd!
We were worried about the girls getting up early, but they didn't wake up until after 8.

They did have to wake up the boys

Mark got lots of surprises- like an ipod

Mac was not too into it, but he did manage to open one present

The girls got a note from Jingle Jack that said they were getting presents they had to share. This is them opening one together.

Mark cooked breakfast
The girls stayed in their new Pjs all day

AND they rode their scooters all day too.

We were able to convince the girls they needed to get dressed for dinner. Then we went for a walk after.

Henderson Winter Festival

We went to the Henderson parade. We made it just in time to see Uncle Andy and Family!

It was a beautiful day, nice and warm
After the parade Maissie had a performance and Amooh and Grandpa came. AND Dia came home from Costa Rica!!

Maissie had a great time, and a lot of fun

Maissie and Makenna are so sweet :)

We had the annual Hafen Christmas Party. Full of good times, singing, and food!

Christmas PJs

Amooh and Grandpa got Christmas PJs. We wanted to take a picture for the Christmas letter. This is how it went :)

Trip to Utah

Mark had some interviews in Utah so we went along for the ride. We were able to play a little bit.
This is the girls trying out things when we were Christmas shopping We went to a Hockey Game. Can you see how busy it was? I think we brought the crowd total up to 50. We got there a little early, and kept waiting for more people to come. . . and waiting . . .

The girls did NOT like the LOUD train horn noise each time they scored.
We made Ginger Bread Houses (foam ones)

Maissie's turned out great. I am not sure what happened to Jens' but it was cute too.
We stayed at Little America, which had a pool- huge hit. Maissie was able to try out her little water dog she got for her birthday.

Maissie only wanted she to be in the picture- but notice the extra arms :)
We stopped by Temple Square. It was cold, and the girls were hungry. Jens did not last. Mark had to take her to get food. But the rest of us checked it all out.

Maissie was a little sad, cold and hungry

But she cheered up.

Once again Sam was so good to help out. Little Mac had to wear Jens hat- real men wear pink.

Mark and I were lucky enough to go to dinner with Jim and Kathleen. Jim was at a dental conference in SLC. The food was super! Sam was awesome and stayed with the cranky kids.

Jensy's babies

Jensy loves to play with her babies. Pretty much everything is her baby. For instance, when I can not find the sack of potatoes, I just need to go ask Jens, and she will tell me it is her baby, and it is in her room. Same goes for the dried beans, big package of napkins, bread, water bottles or anything else she can find in the pantry.

Turn on the lights

We were lucky enough to make it to the Christmas light lighting at Ethel Ms this year. It was pretty warm, but we had hot chocolate anyway.

The girls got their face painted. They also got a fun balloon.

They saw Santa. When I asked MJ what she told Santa she wanted she said "He already knows what I want."

Louie Anderson did the count down to the turn on the lights.

And after all that I didn't get a picture of the lights :)

Are you missing something?

Maissie has had a loose tooth for quite a while. It seemed like it was just barely hanging on. So at dinner she stood up real fast and plop- our came the tooth. She said she just pushed it out with her tongue. Here are the before and after shoots.

She was thrilled about the tooth fairy. But she wanted to keep the tooth to take to show and tell. So she left the tooth fairy a note that she wanted to keep the tooth, and wouldn't you know, the tooth fairy left the tooth.
