Maissie had a Kindy 500 at school They started off with some songs (can you see how much taller she is than the other kids?) and then did a parade around the school. Her car was great. Mark and she worked on it together to get it pink with purple flames. Maissie made the tires and the steering wheel all by herself.
Jens and Mac came along to see too.

Blue Lemon
Grandma and Grandpa treated us to lunch at the Blue Lemon. It was really good and unique.
Sweet stubborn, I mean independant Jens. She would not keep her coat on, and it was soooo cold. We finally got her to put it on, only she would only wear it backwads.
We also went to a little German bakery. I mean little. The stroller didn't fit in the store. So we waited outside. Mac crashed.

Easter Weekend
Grandma and Grandpa Lemon came to visit for Easter weekend/ their 41 wedding anniversary.
We decided to go downtown to see Mark's office and the pretty spring flowers.
We stopped at Mark's new office, and picked up some hto chocolate on the way out.
We rode the trax in. The kids thought it was great.
We stopped at Temple Square. The flowers were really pretty, but it sure was cold. I will be happy for the time I go to Temple Square when it is warm!!
We stopped in at the Joeseph Smith Building. The girls found the air vent and thought it was great fun to play with their hair.

It has been a year
It has been a year since my Grandma Kathryn passed. In some ways it seems like yesterday, and in other ways it seems like forever. I would hate to say that I am bitter- but right now I am. She was planning on moving to Salt Lake City but then she got sick. It would be really nice to have her here. I miss her dearly. I try to talk about her often so my girls will remember as much as possible. I was fortunate enough to get some of her jewelry and every time I wear it I try to point out to the girls whose it is/was.
Before she died she said she didn't want flowers at her graveside because "those damn deer just come eat it anyway." There were probably a dozen or so deer when I went to the cemetery. And yes, I left flowers for the damn deer.

Egg hunt
My cousins do a night egg hunt every year. I loved the idea, and thought it would be fun to do with the Malmgrens. One thing that is different here in Utah, it gets dark at 8:30ish. So we had to wait a while to do the egg hunt. The kids were really cute, and Maddy was great to help Jens find eggs. Unfortunately this is the only picture I got.
Quit looking at me with those eyes!
When we were little my mom used to make this bunny cake for Easter or my brothers's birthdays. I thought it would be fun for Maissie and I to make one this year.
This is how it started out:
I seriously could not stop laughing. The eyes just made me bust up. MJ thought I was crazy, but I thought those ooglie googilie eyes were freakn funny.Maissie completely took over the decorating and it turned out like this:
She was very proud of it, and we had a great time together making it

Sweet Spring Break
We had an EXCELLENT time back in Henderson for Spring Break. We played outside as much as possible. Unfortunately I did not get the camera out until Thurs. So we will start there:

Macers liked climbing and going down the kiddie slide. The Grandpa's (Uncle Andy, and my Dad) treated us all (Tessa and twins, AK, Logan and Brinley, my kids and me) to Sonic for lunch- yum!
After the park we went to Boulder City to feed the Ducks.
Then we went back to the house for a little swim.
We thought Brinley was done, but she was not. She got back in with all her clothes on.
Angus climbed this latter and got stuck. The first time it was funny. After a while I decided to just let him stay there a while.
Grandpa made some yummy food.
Jens crashed, with some company. I love any day I can get her to take a nap.
Saturday we went to the parade. The highlight was Uncle Andy and Fam.
Mac liked doing pullups on the tree.
He also really liked the marching bands. He would wave his arms at all of them.
There were lots I did not take pictures of. We were so happy to see all that we did, and had a wonderful week.

Oh Jensy
Jens likes to help do dishes. Mostly she likes to play in the water. But this is how she loads the dishwasher--dish towel and all.

I told the girls they could earn a trip to Chuckie Cheese. And if they were great the could take this paper in and get extra tokens. One day I came down stairs and the papers looked like this. Hmmmm. Clever little Jens.

welcome to April . . . in utah
See the for sell sign (we are just renting this house that is for sell) When I got the the house the first time the snow was above the sign.
April came with a blizzard- no, really, a real blizzard. TONS of snow. Sam and Dia were going to come up for some of Mark's good cookin, but I dont think they would have made it up the hill. So we ate with out them. It did clear up for about an hour. We took advantage and went sledding down our awesome back yard hill.
Jens is still wardrobe confused about this weather. Tights, dressup shoes, but she did get the coat on.
