Soccer!

Mark managed to score some box seats to the Real soccer game.  It was a lot of fun.  I was so glad we were in the box because it was Freezing! Sam and Dia got to go too.

Tubing

We got these groupons for tubing in Midway.  We didn't have an opportunity to use them until the very last day possible.  So we made the trek.  Most (if not all) of the snow was made snow.  It was super slushy, but we made the best of it.  Most of the runs we slowed to a stop half way down.  Mac was too little to go down the hill, but he was quite a little trooper and just hung out in the tube.

I don't think Jens had to walk once.  She was pulled every where

Note to self.  Next year, go earlier in the year.
After we stopped at the Dairy King.  Mac thought it was amazing because they had trains.  The rest of us liked it because it had an awesome soda machine.

And another hike on the red rocks

Before we left St. George we went on another hike.

Great Gpa Hersch

We decided it would be fun to go Great Gpa Hersch and warm up a bit.  We headed to St. George for the weekend.  It was a bonus that Grandpa, Amooh and Clark came too!  And while we were there Uncle Brad, Aunt Mia and their kids came too.

Happy #2 Mac attack!

Maceee boy turned two!! I say Everyone needs to have a kid like him.  He is sweeter than pie.  He is
starting to talk and we love to try and figure it out.  His favorite color is yellow- well, that is to say everything is yellow. If he has the choice he says yellow!  He loves to sing happy birthday.  His favorite thing to eat is pasta, and candy (he signs for the candy).  He loves to ride bikes and shovel the snow.

He loves attention from the girls.  Even if it means having to be dressed up in their clothes :)

The great smoke out

TWO days before we were suppose to get into our new house we were at the new house working on some things, and I went back to the apartment to get some things.  When I pulled up all the neighbors were on the grass, and I heard beeping.  I remember thinking "oh man, that sucks for someone, their fire alarm is going off."  As I got out of the car on of the neighbors came up to me and said, "Is that your place?" AHHHHHHHHH! YES.  I ran and unlocked the door and all I could see was SMOKE.  A very thick cloud of smoke.  I ran to the stove and got the pot off it, ran outside and put it in the dirt, ran back in and got the dogs.  Luckily the were in a room with the door closed so they were ok.  A few neighbors had called 911 so the firefighters came.  They checked to make sure it was ok and suggested we not stay there.  The smell was unreal.  I called Sam and he came and got the kids.  Mark and I tried to clean up.  Fortunately there was no physical damage, but the smoke damage was pretty intense.  We got some stuff out of the apartment, and spent the night in a hotel.  I wont lie, I was pretty upset.  My dad happened to call while mark and I were trying to get somethings.  I told him what had happened, and he said he would be there in the morning. (yeah, that is how great my parents are- still rescuing me:))
After 6 hours at the laundry mat, we came to the conclusion we were in over our heads.  We filed an insurance claim.  They came and got all our clothes, furniture, food, everything.  So when we moved, all we had was what was in storage.  Slowly we got all of our things de-stunked.  When we couldn't find things Jens would say, "Did that get smoked out?"

 The pot- the problem
When we got our clothes and shoes back a lot of them were wrapped in paper.  Very nice, unless you have to unwrap all of them.  So Jens and I played "Its your birthday, open presents"  She thought it was the best thing in the world.  She even asked me to sing happy bday to her while she opened the "presents."
We are very blessed that no one was hurt, and we didn't loose anything valuable.  It was the best of worst case scenario.

Helper Mac

We are so happy with our house.  Our contractor was pretty awesome, and we would probably use him again.  However, there was one area that was FUBRed- the TV niche.  And it was not just one sub that messed it up, they all seemed to.  SO, we (and by we, I mean Mark) had to get a wall mount for the TV.  AND a board to mount the wall mount to the wall.  And a couple of days to do the project.  And some help from Grandpa Lemon and Mac.  Mac was in heaven.  He got his drill out and was helping where ever he could.
