a visit from the parents

My super fantastic Mom came and gave an excellent talk at BYU.  I was really happy I was able to go hear her, and meet some of her colleagues. 

Grandpa went to hear the talk too, but he did manage to squeeze in a nap with the Mac.

Maissie's field trip to the Zoo.

I was able to go on Maissie's field trip to the zoo.  We had a great group of girls in our group.  It was raining all morning, but then stopped long enough for us to check everything out.

Jensyn's field trip to the Childrens Museum happened to be on the same day.  I was not able to go because I had already said I would go with Maissie's class.  Jensyn had a really had time, and almost did not go.  She did go, and was happy she did.

Swimming Lessons

Jens and Mac had swimming lessons, and I thought they were so good.  It is normally really hard for me to watch the lessons because I am overly critical of the lesson, but these ones were pretty good.  And the kids loved it!

Spring Break 2013

We went to Amooh and Grandpa's house for Spring Break. And it could not have been better.  My soul needed the sunshine.  We mostly just played outside.  Mark was able to work from the Las Vegas office, and come too.  We also celebrated Amooh's Birthday at a yummy Asian restaruant.

 We had a little Easter egg hunt too.

Jensy's first baby tooth gone

Jens had a tooth that was a little wiggely, but she was determined to get it out.  She asked Mark to get some floss so he could pull it.  He had to pull pretty hard, but he managed to get it out.  And Jen could not be more pleased.

Waiting for the Bus

We were lucky enough to have to bus stop right at our house for Jen to go to Kindergarten.  We tried to ride bikes while we waited, if it was warm enough.

Family Bike Ride

We thought it would be fun to try and go for a family bike ride.  It started out ok, but then some people (Jens) "couldn't" go any more.  Luckily, we had hooked up the bike trailor just in case.  

Dentist

The girls had a couple of cavities, so we went to the dentist.  They were champs. 

 The best part was the mustash Mac got out of the prize box.

Bye Bye Big Blue

We decided it was time for a new vehicle.  So we said good bye to Big Blue.  I really loved that car.  We went to San Diego (lots), San Fransisco, Colorado, Reno, Arizona, the Ranch, and Salt Lake. Lots of good memories.  But, we now have the Great White, and hope to make new memories.

Jens half way done with Kindergarten

Jen seems to be doing well in school.  These are her papers from her parent teacher conference.  On the end is Abraham Lincoln, and then a paper on what she likes about school, then a snow man, and I think the last one is a self portrait?
