Happy Birthday to MARK!

What talent huh?

It was Mark's Bday. A'mooh and Grandpa took us out to dinner- super nice! But Mark suggested next year we get a sitter.

MJ and MJ

This morning when MJ woke up she asked me if Daddy was still home. I said yes. She quickly replied "I am going to make a trap so he can't go." This is her trap.
After Mark got out the door and on his way MJ yelled after him her new goodbye, "Make sure you don't get any mosquito bites!"

Last night MJ was playing with her plastic snakes. She lost one and looked everywhere for it. She probably looked for a whole 20 min. Then for the next 2 hours whined "Daddy where is my snake." Mark kept telling her he didn't know, and she needed to look. She would not stop. We all were done with the snakes. If you know Mark, you know he is by far the most calm, laid back guy. It takes A LOT to get to him. Well MJ got to him. He finally (after hours) answered "I don't know where your damn snake is." MJ answered "Daddy, it is not the damn snake, it is the yellow snake."

Carnies

We went to a kid carnival this weekend. MJ loved it. My opinion? Well, super over crowed and way to hot. But, MJ got to ride the merry-go-round. You cant tell from this picture, but she loved it.

Jens loved it too- she thought watching was just as good.

I saw these at the store the other day. They were on sale AND there are 60 of them.

Today I told MJ we could have an ice cream cone after lunch.

The cone was kid size- kid size if you are about 2 feet tall.

Call the world record people, I have found the smallest ice cream cone.

Shitty Shots

I do realize the kids need shots- I just don't want to be the one to take them to get it done. Jens got 3 today.
I hate that look- the one where they look at you with gigantic tears, their mouth open, lips purple, but it is silent, and then they catch their breath and scream. :(. We all had candy after.

I dont know why, but this makes me laugh EVERY TIME.

Red Dixie

On Sat. we went to St. George. My aunt Ada died (she was 91 and had cancer). After the funeral we hiked the red mountains. It was super. MJ had a great time and was very proud of her self for climbing mostly by herself. Jens liked the back pack.

Things we learned: always ALWAYS take wipes. ALWAYS make the kid go to the bathroom before you get into no bathroom zone. Early Sept. is still hot.

More MJ-isms

For some reason MJ likes to "walk the dog" in the house. What that really means is she likes to drag him around the house by his leash. He is a good sport about it, and can usually get away if it gets to crazy. Today I saw MJ get out the whistle and put it on Phish. I told her she couldn't put that around his neck/ it wasn't a leash. She told me "but he is a lifeguard dog, and needs the whistle." Doesn't Phishy look like he is having fun??

On Thursday we were at Costco. I got MJ a hot dog and a drink. I asked if I could have some of her drink. She pointed to her cheek and said "it will cost you." I had to give her a kiss before I got the drink.

MJ hates HATES Jens to go in her room. And of course Jens loves LOVES to go in MJs room. It is a daily if not hourly battle between the two, Jens trying to get in- MJ trying to shut the door on her. Mark had left me a note on the door one time when he went on a trip and I left it up because I love to read it. MJ went and got the note, put it on her door and told me "Mommy, I put a note on my door that says no babies in my room."
