thank goodness for grandparents

Our parents have helped us out so much- especially this last couple months with Macades coming along. MJ went to Roosevelt for a week to hang out with the Lemon's. She had a great time, and did not really want to come home.
We asked MJ if she wanted anything special when she got home. She said she wanted a cake that said "Welcome Home Maissie we missed you" and she said she wanted it pink with chocolate letters.

Oh Sweet Jensy

I gave Jens a tootsie roll when we were in the car. A few min later she said she had something in her nose. I didn't think any thing of it and kept going. She kept telling me the same thing. So at the stop light I looked in her nose and couldn't see anything.
We got home and a little while later she told me again there was something in her nose. So remembering the last time she told me this- I got the flash light out and took a look. Sure enough, there was the entire tootsie roll wrapper so far up her nose I had to get out the tweezers. The next time I gave her a tootsie roll she told "no wrapper in my nose." Hopefully she has learned.

the happy and sad amaryllis

My Dad gave us a couple amaryllis flowers. These are perfect flowers for the impatient (i.e. me) They grow super fast.
This is a picture of Jens:
The one on the left is MJs- not quite as happy.

Goodbye Hello Kitty

So some things have slipped by me lately- I am sure I have a good excuse somewhere.
Meet MJs favorite shoes. She loves them and wears them as much as possible.
When I picked her up from school I noticed her shoes as she was running in front of me.
She was actually very big girl about giving them up- phew!

Little Mac gets a bath

At a week old Mac got his first bath. He didn't seem to mind, and made some pretty funny faces. There were lots of helps too (Me, Mark, MJ, Jens, A'mooh, Sam)

Macade Jeffrey!!!

Macade Jeffrey came to us on Wed. 2/10/2010 at 1030am. (9 days early, and I was soo happy) He weighed 8.1 pounds (the exact same as BOTH his sisters) and was 20.5 inches long.

He has had a great first week. He is very good- very mellow and doesn't mind the screams of his sisters.
Look at his super cute dimples :)

Because of H1N1 the girls we not able to come to the hospital . . . or so i thought. My Dad was able to sneak Jens in for a few minutes. Unfortunately it was when they were giving Macade a bath, so she didn't get to see him, but I was sure happy to see her.
So this is the first time the girls met little Mac. Jens kept saying "cute cute cute" Maissie just smiled at him.

Great Grandma Kathryn came to see the new little guy. So did Uncle Clark, Uncle Arthur, and Uncle Colin.
We are so happy he his here with us!!

Nap Time

MJ chose the chair to take a nap. Not sure why, maybe because it is so comfortable??

Change of the Clock

My parents got my Grandma and Grandpa Hafen's grandfather clock. Every time it rings I have flashbacks to my Grandparents house on Staheli Hill.
Now, every Sunday MJ helps wind the clock.
