Last dinner in Cali

The last night in Cali we ate at Anthony's- My family's favorite restaurant. It is right on the water in downtown San Diego.

Where was Jensy? Asleep through the entire meal!

Clark in front of the pirate ship- ARRRR!

cali dinner #2

We went to Old Town Cafe for dinner. It was yummy.

Arthur taught MJ paper rock scissors, and Mark tried to contain Jens.

Life's a Beach

Our plan was to spend the last day in Cali at the beach. BUT, the weather was definitely NOT beach weather, so we spent the morning with Clark at the dog park (pictures to come), and at the rose garden in Balboa Park. Parking was an issue so my mom and Sam dealt with the car, while Dia, the kids and I looked at the roses.

This was a huge Dr. Seuss looking cactus.

Notice the difference between these pictures- the kids are really happy with Dia. Me?? Well not so much.

MJ took this picture of the pink/purple rose

After Balboa Park we headed out to the beach. Mark was such a trooper. He was the only one that would get in the water with the girls.

The rest of us huddled on the beach.

After the beach we went and ate at Anthony's - one of my family's fav places to eat.
This is our attempt at a family picture.

We had such a great time in Cali. We are forever grateful to the parents who made it possible!

I had to get a picture of the agapanthas (the flowers behind the cute girls) they are one of my favorites, and we had them at our wedding.

10 YEARS!! for real

After the Zoo, the fam was kind enough to watch our kiddos so we could go celebrate our 10 year anniversary.
We ate at a place called Geroge's. It over looked the ocean, and the food was delish!!
Then we went to extraordinary desserts, and they were. We had a chocolate vicking cake, and a strawberry short cake pie. oh my goodness, yum yum yum! (thanks to Clark for the recommendations)

Then we walked around Sea Port Villiage. We took a carrage ride, around the parking lot, but it was still fun- and ultra cheesie.

We had such a great time. I am pretty sure I am the luckiest girl in the world to be married to the bestest of the best. He is my bestie forEVer.

day at the ZOO

On Wed we went to the San Diego Zoo! And of course it did not dissapoint. Our bus tour guide said because it was so cool and over cast the animals were more likely to be out- and they were. We saw just about everything!

A'mooh didnt want to go on the sky ride- so she stayed with the stroller.

proof the girls can be civil with each other for a few min

we waited in line so we could ride on the top of the bus

Mac was so cute, he kept smiling at all the people

We even got jens to take a nap

I was proud of us, we ate healthy. We brought in subway, and got veggies and fruit at the store.

I am so mad I couldnt get the camera out fast enough, but this was a pig that was putting its nose up to Marks. it was really funny

And this is how we felt on the way back to the hotel.
