Brigham City Temple

We decided to would be good/fun to go check out the Brigham City Temple.  And we thought it would be fun to do with Gma and Gpa Lemon.  So we decided to go, and meet up there.  Mark was a total trooper because he was pretty sick, but went anyway.  We beat the Lemons, so we went through, and when they got there we did it again.  It was the first temple that the kids had been through.  We also found the best peach shake place.

Mouse! a real one

We had a mouse in the garage.  I thought the dogs were going to go crazy trying to catch it, but the didn't- go crazy or catch it.

First Day of Kindergarten

Jensyn started Kindergarten! Her teacher is Mrs. Morgan.  She was thrilled to be going to school, until we got there.  Then she was not so sure.  And the first week I think she cried everyday.  But she always came home really happy. And I have to admit, I was more than thrilled to have to go to Kindergarten.  But I was really sad the first day.  I can not believe she is already in school.

Jensy is 5!

Jens had a great, extended Bday celebration.  Sam was at our house on her actual Bday and she was so thrilled.  Her are some of the thing she got from Sam and Dia.

We had a little party for Jens before her birthday.  Mark set up a movie in the back yard, and she had some kids came over.  It was a lot of fun.  I am not sure anyone watched the movie (Bolt), but they had a good time.

Jensyn really wanted a swim party at Amooh and Grandpa's house.  So we went down over Labor Day weekend.  The Selchs came, and so did Makenna. Jens is quite the swimmer now.

We love Jens so much.  We can not get enough of her silly, push button personality.
Here is what she said in her 5 year old interview:
Favorite color? All the colors
Favorite thing to do? Play with my Family
Favorite place to go? Blue Lemon
Favorite book? Maisy's Colors
What are you excited about Kindergarten? Making new friends
What do you want to be when you grow up? A Face Painter
What is your favorite thing to eat? Artichokes

Maissie's first day of 2nd Grade

Maissie was really excited for her first day of second grade.  Her teacher this year is Mrs. Barton.  She didn't get to meet her teacher until the first day.

What does a entire bottle of Aveeno soap look like?

The girls asked if they could take a bath in my room.  To my surprise (and ugh) they made a bubble bath.  I love the first picture because Maissie knows they did something they were not suppose to.  But then she realized I was not going to kill them. Jens on the other hand never stopped having a good time.

Lagoon 2012

We ventured out to Lagoon! The Lemons were nice enough to come. We said we would get there when it opened, and stay as long as the kids were good.  We were there from open to close.  Yeah I was pleasantly surprised.  Before we got there all Mac cared about was the train, and Maissie wanted to do the swings (she loved the ones at Disney California).  So those were our first stops.

Jens was excited about the Zebras

Grandpa Lemon lost his hat on the swings, but was able to recover it.

Mac's new joy- the airplanes

Technically Maissie was too tall for this ride. The next time she tried to ride it she didn't get on.

I think Mac rode the airplane and the train a million times.

All that excitement  The Lemons hung out with Mac while he slept and the rest of us went on rides.

This was so funny. Mac was doing circles around Jens.  She couldn't figure out how to make it go until the end of the ride.

We ended the day on the carousel   (A very boring ride in my opinion) but it was a nice slow end to a jam packed day.

What I didn't get pictures of was Maissie going on the big roller coaster Wicked.  Scared her good.  We also went to the water park.  Jen and Mac didn't think it was that great so we got dressed and rode more kiddie rides.  There was one roller coaster, cant remember the name, but Maissie loved it. So we tried to get Jens to go on it.  She was near tears getting on, but after she was screaming with laughter.  I think she did that one 4 times in a row.

Why would I expect less

We thought it would be nice to go help the Lemon's in Roosevelt.  On the way Mark (still on his kick) wanted to stop at Strawberry  to fish.  I thought it was a great idea until we got there, and Jens mentions she is not wearing any shoes! So she and I wait in the car while the others go fish.
We were having a good time talking letters and numbers, and then Jens gets this horrible look on her face and says "I think I peed my pants"  This from a girl who has maybe had 3 accidents her whole life.  But then she says "Nope, I think its poo"  Lucky me.  It was crap! So we got her cleaned up, and extra diaper on (it was only a day trip so we didn't have extra clothes), cut the fishing short and went on our way.

After we got there, Grandma Lemon set up the pool.  As you can see Mac thought it was great! Not so sure about Maissie.

best visitors ever

I was beyond thrilled when my Aunt Ramona came to visit with her kids.  It was so much fun. We played outside, made a fort in the basement, had movie night, went to the zoo.  It was awesome.  The only bad part was it was too short.  I am sure next summer it will be longer! Hint Hint.

after the hike

After the hike we drove around a bit looking for a place to cook some lunch/dinner and fish.  We ended up at this little lake that was perfect.  Mark, Mike and the kids fished (with no success) for a few hours while Lis and I had a Dr. Pepper.
Finally as we were packing up Mark's fishing pole that he let sit in the lake caught a little fish.  It was not big enough to keep, but they had a really hard time getting it unhooked.
It was such a great day.  I think it should be an annual thing!

This picture is priceless.  If only I could blow it up. hmmm

It took so long to get the fish off the hook I thought for sure it was dead. But Mark said it was alive.
