Christmas Nativity

My neighbor Amanda was in charge of the kids nativity this year.  She did such a great job! Some of the kids were animals, some angels, wise men, and some shepherds.  It was cute, short and sweet.

Jen was a sheep

Maissie is one of the Angels in the back

Shopping with Sister Hafen

I am so thrilled and happy for my cousin Marin who is going on a mission.  She gets to serve in Kansas.  I was able to do some shopping with her before she took off.

We did a good job, and she is cute

This is after her farewell

Date Night

We got a gift certificate to Log Haven and realized it was about to expire.  So we had a small miracle and found a sitter on a week night and went up the canyon.  It really was delish, but my favorite (besides Mark) was the desert.  It was like a caramel pina colada yummy thing. De-lish!

Sledding!

It was freezing cold, but we went sledding anyway.  It didn't last too long, because it was so cold. Meaning, I did not last long.  The kids had a blast.

Hafen Christmas Party Utah style

It was our turn to host the Utah Hafen Christmas Party this year.  And it did not disappoint.  We had yummy food, white elephant gifts and great company.

We ran away . . . to San Fran

Mark had a training in San Fran so we convinced Kathleen and David to watch the kids, and we made a little vacay outta it.  And it was fantastic.  We got to hang out with Arthur and Clark, and then as a bonus Sam and Dia came too.

Clark picked me up and we ate at this fantastic waffle/coffee place

I tried to do a panoramic--unsuccessfully.  But Clark and I made enchiladas and tortilla soup for everyone at our house

Sam, Dia, Mark and I went exploring in the city.  We went to the wharf, china town and union square

Clark's boyfriend Tommy introduced us to some amazing Thai food

It was a great time.  It was so much fun to be with my family.  And it was kinda like a our last party before Sam and Dia leave for the Peace Corps.

Sam and Dia come!

Sam and Dia came for the weekend and we tried to make the best of it.  We went on some hikes, picked raspberries, and had a good time

Alpine Loop hike

Mac lost interest in the raspberries, but found interest in the goat
